A low-aromatic hydrocarbon solvent supplied in ultra-low-aromatic and high-purity grades, used as a denaturant and process solvent where fast evaporation and low odor are required.
Heptane (C₇H₁₆) is a straight-chain alkane hydrocarbon derived from petroleum refining. Its narrow boiling range and low aromatic content make it a preferred solvent where residue and odor need to stay low — including as the denaturant in CDA-12A ethanol blends.
Superior Chemical Co. supplies both ultra-low-aromatic heptane, for applications sensitive to aromatic content, and high-purity heptane for general industrial solvent use.
